ROLE

Director, Communications

ABOUT

I’ve spent my career reporting on startups and venture capital as a journalist, and I’m excited to help shine a light on the impact TechNexus brings to startups and corporations through its unique venture capital model.

I’m a storyteller at heart. As the director of communications I work to bring the TechNexus impact to life by telling stories of the entrepreneurs, companies, investment themes and more that make up the TechNexus community.

Prior to TechNexus I spent 12 years in journalism, with the last decade at the American City Business Journals. At the Business Journals I led our national startup and innovation coverage as the editor of American Inno, the company’s innovation-focused brand. Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, I received my undergraduate degree in communications from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and my master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with my two boys, rooting for my UNC Tar Heels, and planning my next summer getaway to the North Carolina coast.
