Native Voice, the on-demand voice services ecosystem that enables users to communicate directly by voice with their favorite brands, has closed a $14 million funding round. Investor participation includes TechNexus Venture Collaborative, Gutbrain Ventures, PBJ Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, and others. Founder and CEO John Goscha said the funds allow the startup to grow its team, add its product to more devices, and scale current efforts.
Native Voice was founded in 2020 and has seen continued growth since its inception. The platform is the bridge between your favorite brand’s voice service and the smart devices you already own, allowing consumers to use voice commands and stay in the moment.
As more smart devices hit the market, the digital voice assistant ecosystem continues to grow. An estimated 4.2 billion devices have the feature enabled as of 2020, with current estimates saying that number will reach 8.4 billion in 2024 (according to Statista). Native Voice is strategically positioned to capitalize on this growing popularity.
“Voice assistants are great but limited in what they can do. You have to wake up one assistant to open another and then take your phone out of your pocket to request a car or play a new song. Native Voice unlocks multiple voice services, like Alexa and Siri, and brands developing their own, like Spotify and Uber. Users can get more done, using only their voice,” said John Goscha.
TechNexus Venture Collaborative is committed to investing in ventures at the forefront of the audio ecosystem, those exploring the aural experience through many facets and how that experience evolves through advanced AudioTech & innovation.
“Voice services are rapidly becoming one of the fastest adopted technologies in the world, but so far have been limited by device workflows. Native Voice is filling that gap in a really innovative way by unlocking a third-party ecosystem of voice services, allowing brands to go direct to consumers. We’re really excited to support John and the Native Voice team in their growth journey,” said TechNexus analyst, Alison Hennessy.
